This is great because it frees up inventory space, but the game really doesn’t provide many hints to this fact.
Unlike other crafting stations, the forge itself holds the materials it needs to craft items by smelting them. But for the life of me I could not figure out how to get clay! I had tons of lumps of clay, and lots of iron scraps and raw iron, but I could not build FORGED IRON! It was driving me nuts, until I learned the trick. At least that was mine, because I wanted my spiked club and some iron tools. But if you’re a new player, and anything like us…you spend your time googling “where do I get clay in 7 Days to Die?”īecause, your first need is probably Forged Iron.
And if you’re an experienced player you go on about your day and let it do it’s thing. Besides the hunt for your first “pot”, the excitement around building/finding/buying your first forge is almost as epic.
